Dream log #006
Alien · Part II
Two liquid mirrors, one black and one white, meet in the void — and grow a face out of each other’s reflection.
For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face.

Directing two mirrors
Part II of a cinematic AI trilogy. Part I left a pitch-black liquid-mirror figure alone in the dark; this chapter brings in its exact material opposite, a brilliant liquid-white mirror, and lets the two meet.
Video models struggle with compound materials, so the encounter had to be defined precisely: white mirror bleeding into black until the surface settles into a stable, marbled grey, instead of the muddy textures a model invents when it is left to guess.
No face was prompted. The features grow out of surface tension and mutual distortion, each face built from the reflection of the other, while the light-absorbing abyss answers their movement with a contrasting bioluminescent frost.
Paced on, and scored with, Stereoclip — “How To Listen To This Album” (2021). Scripted with an LLM, generated with text-to-video models.
